• Sure, Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is filled with homicidal animatronics who are out for your blood, but through the eyes of a child, it's a happy, fun place where they can eat good food, play games, and watch their favorite animatronic characters perform for them. Which is why it's sad in a way that the pizzeria is set to shut down thanks to running out of funding due to its shady history and dangerous animatronics. These poor kids are going to lose their beloved characters while completely ignorant to the company's dark past.
• The fate of Phone Guy. He was just so helpful and friendly to you, that it's absolutely horrible to have his Night 4 message play, only for him to be desperately holding off a combined assault form the animatronics before getting killed at the very end. What's even worse is that he knows full and well that he's doomed, but he's still trying to put on a happy façade when he tells you that he won't be talking to you anymore, and is desperately trying to remain calm in the face of death.
  • Later games make it so much worse when you see how dedicated the man is to the franchise. He absolutely loves these characters to death and believes that they must be treated with nothing but the utmost respect... only for them to be responsible for his death years later.
• While the animatronics themselves are quite scary and absolutely merciless in murdering any person they come across after hours, it's hard not to feel bad for them when you put two and two together after learning about the game's backstory and realize that they're likely possessed by the spirits of the children who were murdered years back. There's no telling if they're trying to kill you out of misguided revenge or if they're completely innocent and trapped in bodies that want to kill you whether they like it or not, but it's a depressing situation either way.
• While the scream that the animatronics make when the attack you is absolutely hellish, take a while to listen to the full scream that isn't cut off by static. It sounds like a child's scream, and could very well be the dying screams of a child attacked by the costumed killer. If that is the case, then it's both ways depressing and stomach-turning.
