Polyamory is considered to be "toeing the boundary" between good and bad sex, and while there are certainly works (particularly in the [[Harem]] genre) that romanticise a well-thought-out orgy that involves intertwining romances as Good Sex, they're still more likely to be depicted as "sex for the sake of sex" rather than "sex for the sake of love".

This excludes [[Very Special Episode]]s, pleading for tolerance, and series which intentionally include such preferences to be "edgy". Of course, in the latter, most characters have questionable morality anyway.
