Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

 Losing And Regaining Sanity
You can lose Sanity from any psychologically or psychically stressful event, such as being put in immediate peril of life or limb, handed an unexpectedly failing grade on a test, sent to the principle's office, visited by the Outer Houseguests (to whom time is meaningless), or dropped naked into the wrong locker room.
[...]
There are some other ways to gain Sanity if you really need it in a hurry:

  • During school hours, if you're human, you can stop by the school counselor's office and get a lecture on proper values and behavior that, although boring and horribly dated, will force your brain into conventional modes of thought and restore your Sanity to maximum (possibly less one from boredom). Excessive use of this might get you labelled as a Loser by your peers or a Troubled Youth by the authorities.
  • For monsters, the Call <higher power> spell will restore you to full Sanity at the expense of Mojo. If you're just calling to say "Hi", it probably won't even cost you Standing.
School Colors Out Of Space

Lolcron broke the quiet. "What talk, meatbag?"
Scout blinked at him. "Uh, what?"
"You told us Guilliman gave you 'The Talk'. Explain."
"Oh. Uh... Empra, you know. The purging talk."
"I do not know."
Scout blushed again, irritated at the memory. "He sat me down and gave me this long lecture about how I was growing up, and all the changes my geneseed would be causing, and how he knew it was a confusing time for a young marine. Then he launched into this bit about how I'd be feeling these urges to purge xenos and heretics, and how this was all perfectly normal, but I should never purge without proper protection and armament. God-Emperor, I've never been so embarrassed."
