Honor Before Reason/Web Original

Neil Sinclair of Survival of the Fittest fits this trope. The primary example of such behaviour is trusting Dominica Sharpiro by offering her a place in his Pro escape group, despite knowing, for certain that she earlier killed another group member who became separated from the others.
Captain America's respect for the American legal system is shown in this story where despite being the defendant in a negligent manslaughter case (a frame-up by the villain Dr. Faustus), gives his own lawyer - She-Hulk - a very hard job. He insists on Matt Murdock representing the prosecution (if he has a lawyer learned in "superhero law", he feels the other side should), refusing to let Jenn use inadmissible or illegally-obtained evidence, and so on. Fortunately, the jury rules in Cap's favor anyway (because, let's face it, no jury is willing to take a dead criminal's word over Captain America's) and then all three heroes go to beat the snot out of Faustus.
