- To the surprise of the promoters, the Blockheads turned out to be the breakout stars of the Live Stiffs tour rather than Elvis Costello.
- Within the band, bassist Norman Watt-Roy has practically been the Face of the Band since Dury's death (mainly because he's a very good player).
