  • When Kameyo requests the fire-breathing chicken to the story, cut a shot to Kubo's disappointment and saying "The chicken again?" This wasn't the first time this has happen.
  • Even funnier, there's the Basan or Basabasa, which is a fire-breathing chicken in Japanese mythology. Maybe Kubo's stories led to this universe's creation of this myth.

• Hosato, who is voiced by George Takei, nearly vomits during a gruesome scene in Kubo's story. Despite the fact that the story is played out wholly with origami figures.

• After when Kubo questions Monkey of who is she, she answers "You don't recognize me?" She then sits like his "Mr. Monkey" charm, down to the blank expression.

Kubo: Don't you ever say anything encouraging? Monkey: I encourage you not to die. [Monkey walks off] Kubo: [mockingly] "I encourage you not to die."

• Kameyo, she may be past her best days, but she's energetic, sharp witted, and loves to talk with Kubo. She gets her amusing moments.
• Monkey's how impossible the "origami" figures are. "I swear there were scissors involved."
• Whenever Beetle misses the points.
• When Beetle fell asleep on the Sword Unbreakable, wakes up the next day with pain.
  • During the Gashadokuro fight, when he and Kubo were searching for the sword.

Beetle: "Are you sure it isn't the Sword Unfindable?"
