Last of the Summer Wine/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Non Sequitur Scene- A lot of Eli's cameos are completely self-contained gags totally separate to the rest of the episode and very different in tone. This doesn't stop them being hilarious.
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming- See ya, Compo
    • Also pretty much the entirety of "Just A Small Funeral", particularly the end. Doubles as a Tear Jerker; you can tell the cast aren't acting but genuinely upset.
  • Memetic Outfit- Compo's trousers and wellies.
  • Seasonal Rot- At first, the show was almost entirely character and dialogue-based comedy with bits of light physical humor sprinkled in here and there. Also included fair amounts of smoking, drinking and swearing. Now it's generally known as a slapstick-based show and an oasis of "clean" comedy. (Although the drinking hasn't been eliminated, only downplayed. And no word on how all the humorous adultery fits into this image.)
    • On the subject of drinking, large pints of bitter being drunk by old men in rural pubs- especially in the north of England- doesn't really have unwholesome connotations in Britain, in fact if anything it's the opposite.
  • Squick- Clegg is cripplingly susceptible to it, particularly anything involving women and sex. He completely falls apart any time a woman, especially Marina, comes on to him.
