Accidental Innuendo: 'Giant Size Man-Thing'
Crazy Awesome: The mere concept of Man-Thing as a member of a superhero team... and their transportation. To the point that he lives in a chunk of his swamp in the bottom of The Raft prison.
Moral Event Horizon: The Mad Viking killing his own granddaughter because she disagrees with his beliefs.
My Real Daddy: Len Wein had a hand in both Swamp Thing and Man-Thing, but the former is best remembered for Moore's run, and the latter for Gerber's.
Ugly Cute: Especially in Thunderbolts, Man-Thing has very expressive eyes which, combined with the tendrils of his face, just sort of make him look adorable.

Fridge Logic: Why everyone involved didn't do anything before Kyle arrived? To elaborate:
- Pete Horn could have tried to stop the creature any time. He knew what it was, so what kept him?
- Why didn't LaRoqe blow up the oil plant in the Darkwater that seemed to be the root (ha!) of all problems earlier?
- Schists and brothers Thibadeux could have gone after LaRoque at any time, why did they wait so long?
Special Effect Failure: When we're shown Steve's corpse, his actor is clearly breathing.
- The CG on Man-Thing itself is mostly good, except for the red firefly-things in its eyes.
They Just Didn't Care: Other than the title, it's just an typical monster movie; almost none of the characters or ideas of the comics made it into the film. In particular, they replaced Man-Thing's "touch that burns whatever feels fear" power with... tentacles.
