Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.
Revision as of 16:39, 1 February 2024 by Robkelk (talk | contribs)
This is the system messages namespace, only admins may edit these, use the talk pages to suggest changes if you're not an admin.

New Users: Because of the December 2020 - January 2021 spam floods on many wikis, we have chosen to implement a Moderation system to preemptively block spam. As a result, your edits will not show up in the wiki until a moderator approves them. Please be patient - while our goal is a 24-hour turnaround this moderation can take as much as a week to happen (or more, if there are significant issues with a proposed edit, or if there are no moderators available). If you establish a sufficient history of good edits, though, the moderators will eventually promote you to a user level that is not subject to moderation.

If there's a rule here that you think should be changed, here's how to suggest changing it.

We are aware that the forum is unreachable at the moment. There is a security issue, and there is no ETA for when (or if) a patch will be ready. In the meantime, the old forums are still available.

Have you read or watched any of these works? They all need one-line summaries in their infoboxes; if you can provide even one, please do.

There are over 104,000 links to disambiguation pages on our pages, as of April 7, 2023. Can you clean up any of these to point to the intended pages instead (keeping in mind that a small minority of these links are intended to point to the disambiguation pages, and we've had to tempban somebody who didn't keep this in mind)?

There are over two thousand pages listed in Category:Needs a Better Description, as of August 8, 2023. Under our current rules, none of these would be allowed out of the Trope Workshop. If you have suggestions as to how to make one of the trope pages on this list better, please start a discussion on the trope's talk page to propose the change. If it's a work page that needs more info, just go ahead and add it!

Long-term users will be familiar with our frustrations with the Visual Editor and the damage it can do to the source for pages. Well, good news: per community consensus we have found out how to turn it off for the main namespace where the vast majority of wiki pages live, and have done so.
