• In an early book, Jacen Solo finds himself captured by the Vong. He's trying to call his lightsaber to him, but he can't seem to do it. Then it flies away from him. He hears it ignite...and then another lightsaber igniting. His Uncle Luke has arrived, and while Skywalker does not start combat with the Vong, he kicks nine kinds of hell out of them when they do not yield. Primarily by use of a "Force tornado" that pummels them with rocks and debris from the ground around them.
  • This is another example of awesome, since the Vong themselves are resistant to the Force, yet Luke was able to use it against them.

• Ganner Rhysode's last stand in Traitor is all kinds of this. He literally becomes one with the Force while holding off hundreds of Yuuzhan Vong warriors single-handedly, and so impresses the Vong that he winds up as a central figure in the Vong's Jeedai heresy, an invincible warrior called the Ganner.
  • "I am Ganner. Bring on your thousands, one at a time or all at once, I don't give a damn. None shall pass."

• Mara Jade during the first part of the war in particular. She has a terminal illness that she's only surviving through combating it with the Force and she's fighting the Vong - themselves resistant to the Force, yet Mara is able to succeed both at defeating them and keeping herself.
  • There's also the general awesome of not letting a terminal illness keep her from fighting to protect those she loves.
