This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | In 1979, Nickelodeon debuted as the first cable TV network to program exclusively for children. Early in its history, it was nicknamed the "Green Network" because of its educational programing. The original logo was a silver ball with "Nickelodeon" in rainbow letters in front of it. Its "splat" logo, until September 2009, appeared in any of a myriad of shapes, but was always orange with white letters. The current one is now the word "Nickelodeon" in lowercase orange letters, designed in a way evoking the original logo. Its morning preschool educational block, Nick Jr., includes Blue's Clues and Dora the Explorer. During its evening block, Nick at Nite, the channel shows old Sitcoms and dramatic series. |
