As a bit of a shock, this game started development as a revival of [[Zool]],<ref>[https://www.destructoid.com/blogs/segastardust/ddi-the-curious-case-of-ninjabread-man-287215.phtml according to destructoid.com]</ref> but the rights holders gave a look at what was shaping up and decided the results were so absolutely naff that they declined further interest in DDI's "spectacular" work.
