  • No Export for You: Sega made remakes of the first two games, titled Phantasy Star Generation 1 and Generation 2. Too bad they're only available in Japan.
    • To a less annoying extent, the Mega Drive text adventures and the various Game Gear and Master System games as well.
  • Vaporware: PSIV was supposed to be remade in the same vein as Generation 1 and Generation 2. However, it was canceled in favor of a Compilation Rerelease.
    • Phantasy Star Online 2 was announced for release in North America in 2013. Since then, it has been pushed back to "TBA 2014". Most English-speaking players on the Japanese server have since given up and decided that even if the game makes it across the Pacific, they will remain on the Japanese server.
