Tropes used in Photo Dojo include:
- Crossover: You can put anyone in the game if you have pictures of them. Such as Naruto, Edward Elric or Weavile.
- It's very easy to put the character in if it's a ragdoll in Garry's Mod. Heavy anyone?
- First-Person Snapshooter: You become one when you play.
