Pokémon Tower Defense/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Non Sequitur Scene: The story is loaded with these. Trying to name all of them would require a page by itself.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: One of the challenges has you capture a neverending stream of Shiny Geodudes which know Self-Destruct, in order to blow up large groups of incoming Zubats. Remember those moments when you faced a shiny Geodude/Voltorb/Koffing only for it to blow up?
  • That One Level: Lavender Town. The Persian are lightning-fast and will swipe the candies in the blink of an eye if you don't one-shot them or have some way of slowing them down. The ones in earlier levels will have Rest to pump their health up, and a few of them also use Protect so you can't hit them -- and later, they start beating up your Pokémon with Shadow Claw, Water Gun and Power Gem. Owww.
    • Celadon Gym. Three words: That. Fucking. CELEBI. It can and will blitz out your Pokémon in one or two hits with SolarBeam, even the ones that resist Grass-type. The worst part? If you don't know where it's coming from, and you scroll over to see SolarBeam spewing in all directions, it's probably already too late.
    • And now Saffron, which is even worse than Celadon, in case you don't know, you go against ghosts who have and will use destiny bond, killing your towers unless you are quick or use a sacrifice. Also, you go against a certain legendary and you will need a tower that can use yawn, and a ghost or bug tower. Otherwise, good luck.
    • Mt. Moon 2 and Cerulean Gym are extremely difficult for newbie players, even for the ones that picked Bulbasaur.
  • The Scrappy: Joey, as in the actual series.
    • Since when is Joey a scrappy in the actual series?
