- Complete Monster: Cinder Fall and Adam Taurus both qualify big time.
- Genius Bonus: In V3E1, as Emerald says her teammates are "socially awkward", we get a closeup on Mercury sniffing the inside of a boot from a vendor at the fairgrounds. The implication is that he's a little weird, and that's how Team RWBY takes it. But actually, the smell of the leather of which they're made is an indicator of the quality of a pair of boots, so Mercury is actually doing something appropriate if he's seriously considering buying them.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Pyrrha says to Jaune in V2E7:
