You see, on ships of all kinds, space or sea, a Red Alert is a call to battle stations.

Klaxon blare constantly, bright red lights flash while normal lighting dims--

--and people rush around to their stations.

Now while it seems like it would be better to turn on all of the work lights and sound the klaxon at once--

--it is often the case that everyone is working under critical conditions with distractions being--
