Reel Life Productions, also known as Gothom Records, is a Motor City rap label formed in 1990 by James H. Smith and his younger brother, rapper Esham.
Pretty much dormant now, the Gothom Inc. YouTube channel is mostly used to lob Take Thats at Esham's fans and other rappers.
Current RLP artists
- Esham
- Daniel Jordan
- Chupacabra
Former RLP artists
- Dice
- Dayton Family
- Kool Keith
- The Workhorse Movement
- Twenty Dead Flower Children
- Natas
- Filthy Rockwell
- Doc Hollywood Hustle
- Poe Whosaine
Reel Life Productions provides examples of the following tropes:
- Gangsta Rap
- Horrorcore
- Juggalo: Esham has a love/hate relationship with this culture (see that page for more information).
- 20 Dead Flower Children, who were signed to Gothom/Overcore around 1997-1999.
- Esham signed the "Juggalette" rapper Chupacabra in an attempt to get on the good side of that fanbase. It didn't work.
- Motor City: Esham and many of the label's artists.
- Nu-metal: 20 Dead Flower Children
- Psychedelic Rap
- Rap Metal: The Workhorse Movement
