  • Complete Monster: There's a surprisingly large number of them in this book, though the most notable examples are the Demonocles and General Tick-Tock. Gornab also qualifies, though his moronic nature makes him less obviously so.
  • What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids?: The book features a lot of gory violence, considering that it is marketed for preteen readers.
