• Complete Monster: Sam is a rare comedic version played absolutely straight. A greedy, cheating, sadistic slimebag utterly devoid of redeeming features, he starts out the movie by telling his mistress of how he married Barbara while her rich father was dying in the hospital to inherit his wealth, and then goes on to describe in loving, longing detail about how he plans to murder her and dump her off a cliff, his only regret being that she will be unconscious and not feel any pain during the act.
• Crowning Moment of Awesome: Barbara beating the shit out of Sam and then kicking him off the pier and into the ocean.
