Here are the various subjective/audience reaction tropes present throughout, and made in response to, Sonic Labyrinth.
- Non Sequitur Scene: In the end of level 4-2, the camera moves up and shows a giant clock. It rings, birds come out of it and players are left confused.
- Idiot Plot: Instead of just killing Sonic, Dr. Eggman chose to... merely slow him down with a pair of heavy boots instead.
- Scrappy Mechanic: Who would be stupid enough to have one of the colors in the screen flash repeatedly while a powerup is being used?
