Sorority Row/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Crowning Moment of Funny: Ellie's attempt at hiding in a closet.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Chugs, Maggie, and Mrs. Crenshaw.
    • Jessica may count as well. Many fans thought she was the best character and were NOT pleased when she died.
  • Fridge Horror: Chugs gives Garrett the drugs used to "sedate" Megan, setting their idiotic plan in motion. She gave her brother fake date rape drugs to dose his girlfriend with. The fact that Garrett is not suspicious of this in the slightest means Garrett is willing to believe his sister would help him date rape one of her closest friends. What kind of person is Chugs that this behaviour doesn't seem out of the ordinary to someone who grew up with her?!
  • High Octane Nightmare Fuel: Megan's death is actually pretty graphic and horrifying.
  • Idiot Plot: The girls decide to keep Megan's death a secret even though they had nothing to do with it. In fact, only Garrett would've been punished, which would be even better because they were already mad at him for cheating on Megan.
    • Actually they are probably guilty of involuntary manslaughter or negligent homicide considering they were the direct cause of Megan's death.
      • True, they could be charged with involuntary manslaughter or even being an accessory at worst, but it's not very likely that they would be found guilty. Especially if all of them just decided to have their testimony be "Garret stabbed her as we begged him to stop!"
      • Actually, the plot would've been so much better if they had done that. Then the killer would've been Garret seeking revenge instead of what we got.
      • Further Idiot Plot: the girls' first reaction is "Let's dump her body in mineshaft!" instead of what most friends' reactions would be, which is CALL AN AMBULANCE!
        • They tried helping her, but she was impaled through the chest and died in seconds.
      • All of them couldn't have 'just decided' to pin the blame on Garret - Chugs wasn't going to abandon her brother, Cassidy was too full of scruples to go through with it comfortably and Ellie was a weepy wreck who would have fallen apart the moment the police tried to get a statement out of her. So much for a united testimony.
        • Too full of scruples to report a murder?
        • Too full of scruples to absolve herself (and the other girls) of their part in the murder.
      • Chugs isn't going to abandon her brother even after he murdered one of her best friends...can we throw that in under Idiot Ball?
      • Why? First of all she obviously knows that the 'murder' was not intentional and secondly it's pretty normal to side with your family when they are being thrown to the wolves (by your other 'friends' no less). Chugs sticking by Garrett is probably the most realistic reaction anyone has to anything in the film.
  • Misaimed Fandom: Chugs is pretty popular in the fandom for her unapologetic skankiness and snarkiness.
