While Littlefoot and family could be ''[[Prehistoric Life/Dinosaurs/Sauropods|Alamosaurus]]'', a sauropod from the proper time and place, there's no excuse for Spike's appearance. Plus, an even older ''[[Stock Dinosaurs Non Dinosaurs|Dimetrodon]]'' is encountered halfway through the film.
