There were even accusations that Tecmo doesn't really know what to do with the ''[[Dead or Alive]]'' story anymore and is not taking it seriously enough. But fortunately, this subplot does get played up a bit more in ''Dimensions'' and ''5'' in which ''5'' even implies that there will even be some resolution in Kasumi's situation with her home village after all.
