He ''ignores Proto Man's warning'' on the assumption that the robot ''may'' be the real Dr. Light. Mega Man gets electrocuted as a result while Dr. Wily escapes and sets the castle to self destruct.
** Proto Man also gets this as he watches all this happen and refuses to lift a finger, just to make a point.
