So at least in-universe what you just saw is a preview of the final boss.
* [[Fish Out of Water]]: The protagonist has small, scattered memories of his past, but seems to come up from our world, having the same knowledge of history and therefore completely lost at why historical figures of different ages are all living at the same time, and despite most of them being male they're all girls.
* [[Friendly Enemy]]: Despite Arthur establishing an alliance of Brittania with Zipang, the Zipang's characters do not give up on the plan of conquering the whole world, but accept Lancelot in their ranks as a gesture of friendship.
* [[Full-Frontal Assault]]: Ashoka goes to war naked, with a little piece of cloth just doing the minimal job of hiding her genitals, breasts bare. It stands out even in a game full of [[Stripperific]] outfits.
* [[General Failure]]: Himiko had already lost most of her military resources offscreen before the story even begins, and then walks right into a obvious trap set by Nobunaga that she knew about but ignored it anyway.
* [[Girlish Pigtails]]: Inverted with Yamato Takeru; she has a very deep voice and acts very manly despite having long purple pigtails.
* [[Glass Cannon]]: Nobunaga does a lot of damage and has incredible long-range with her gun, but her defenses stats are awful and needs to be put in the back if you want her to survive most fights. Thankfully, in this game friendly fire is impossible.
* [[Motor Mouth]]: Himiko doesn't shut up once she is provoked into talking over taking over the world. Takeru isn't amused and try to stop the protagonist of triggering it at the early parts of the game.▼
* [[Hello, Insert Name Here]]: The protagonist is by default called Chihaya, but the player can rename him. Most characters simply call him "Servant of Heaven", as Himiko thinks he is.
* [[Hopeless Boss Fight]]: The first fight with Yamato Takeru. She has way more HP than any of your units and a one-hit kill attack thanks to its massive damage.
* [[Hope Spot]]: Just when the party defeated Nobunaga, unified Zipang and Himiko has confessed and given her virginity to the hero, Takeru goes insane for no reason and begins to burn Yamatai.
* [[Incompatible Orientation]]: Marco Polo definitely is into Kublai, but Kublai is straight and see her more as a dear friend and ally.
* [[Innocent Fanservice Girl]]: Ashoka finds no problem in walking around bare-naked.

* [[Mighty Glacier]]: Benkei is slow but does an comparatively absurd amount of damage once she can attack from a cllose distance. Her spear causes much less damage.
* [[Mistaken Identity]]: Sanzouhoushi mistakes the protagonist for her sidekick Hakkai, who anyone well versed in [[Journey to the West]] knows is a pig-man. The protagonist is initially convinced by this because of his amnesia until it finally dawns on him off-screen what the Monkey Princess meant.

** Sanzouhoushi don't stops once she starts talking. The subtitles eventually give up on her, and resume her babbling to yada yada yada.
* [[Only the Chosen May Wield]]: Only the rightful heir to Zipang may wield the Kusanagi. It is Takeru's possession at the beginning of the game, but she gives it to the hero thanks to her deteriorating health.
* [[Orcus on His Throne]]: Ashoka, despite being Queen of India, is said to not take an active role on administering it, making a higher priority for the party to take out her Maharaja, who actually rule over India.
* [[Power At A Price]]: Implemented in gameplay. Conquering certain regions before others allows you get certain items, but the game balances it by upgrading all the other country's armies.
* [[Playing with Fire]]: Yamato Takeru and the protagonist can manipulate the flames using the Kusanagi.
* [[Retired Badass]]: Yamato used to be the strongest hero of Zipang, but decided to retire to Yamatai before the beginning of the game, much to the annoyance of Himiko, who wanted her talents used in battle.
* [[Rousing Speech]]: Sanzouhoushi attempts one for the people of Delhi after the heroes conquer it. Attempts. What she does up causing is something that the protagonist describes more like mass mind control mixed with [[These Are Things Man Was Not Meant to Know]], affecting even Himiko.
* [[Take Over the World]]: Himiko's plan at the end of the world, with the objective of ending the battles between nations. As much other things she does, it's an imitation of Nobunaga.
* [[There Was a Door]]: Lu Bu constantly crashes through walls.
* [[Winds of Destiny Change]]: Ashoka's Curse ability affects her opponents negatively, but it is impossible for her to determine which one of the stats will be affected.
* [[Yandere]]: Marco Polo actually thinks on stabbing the protagonist dead as Kublai Khan keeps getting closer to him.
