Added All for Nothing and Everyone Has Standards.
(Added Early Installment Weirdness)
(Added All for Nothing and Everyone Has Standards.)
Line 28:
* Age-Appropriate Angst: People targeted by Hawk Moth usually get akumatized over problems that would be typical for their age. Teenagers face issues like rejection, bullying, and lack of respect, adult characters are traumatized by losing their jobs unfairly, while little kids get upset at being denied toys or candy.
* All CGI Cartoon: 3D-CGI, to be specific
* All for Nothing: How some plotlines of Marinette chasing Adrien end up.
** In 'Stormy Weather', Marinette tries to be an extra in Adrien's photoshoot. By time, she gets the courage to ask to volunteer, Vincent has already set his eyes on Manon.
** How the 'lost bracelet' debacle ends in 'Rogercop'. By the episode's end, Roger finds it in Chloe's bag and he gets his job back. In reality, Ladybug had planted it there after Chat Noir gives it up so they can win the battle.
** Zig-zagged in 'The Gamer'. Despite getting putting herself in the tournament because Adrien would also be in it, by the end of the episode, she doesn't get to game with him. Zig-zagged since Marinette is genuinely good at gaming, she and Max win the tournament.
* All Love Is Unrequited: Well, let's see, where to start...
** Adrien, being oblivious to her thanks to his crush on Ladybug, noticeably refers to Marinette as simply being his friend; and in an ironic twist, Ladybug doesn't reciprocate Cat Noir's advances.
Line 90 ⟶ 94:
** Aurore is upset, having been curb-stomped in the weathergirl competition, and goes to sulk in the elevator. An akuma sneaks in, which Aurore notices and starts to swing at it with her parasol. This means while she was upset, she didn't want to be turned into a monster and take it out on other people.
** In the Bubbler, it initially takes Adrien a while to get on board because it's the first time he's had an actual party. Once he does, he does agree with Ladybug that the Bubbler has to give back the adults, despite the fact Adrien without Gabriel would be better for him. Marinette quits her pursual of giving Adrien her scarf when she sees Ivan in a bubble.
** In 'Horrificator', Alya suggests Marinette play Agent Smith's role while Mylene is out (actually akumatized). Marinette does want to kiss Adrien or at least keep the part away from Chloe, but is genuinely sad she has to use Mylene's disappearance to do so.
** In a rare moment for Alya in 'Gamer', Alya is genuinely appalled that Marinette tries out for the gaming tournament just because Adrien's in it. Apparently for her, stepping up and representing is Serious Business for her.
* Evil Is Not Well Lit: Hawk Moth directs his evil schemes from a dark, mostly featureless room with his viewing panel providing the only illumination.
* Evil Only Has to Win Once: Seeing as akuma prey on victims overcome with negative emotions, it is likely Hawk Moth will never run out of pawns unless the heroes somehow defeat him. Until then, one bad day would be all it would take...
