These were just the opening salvos. The Russians were defeated in Europe, and China in Venezuela. However, the war was still boiling, just below the surface. A cold war followed, during which the [[Red Scare|Red Star Alliance]] and [[The Federation|Western Coalition]] were formed. In [[Twenty Minutes Into the Future|2024]], the WC backed a coup d'etat in Uzbekistan, but the RSA found evidence of the Western influence.
