Splatoon 2 is a shooter game for the Nintendo Switch, and the second entry in the Splatoon series. Developed by Nintendo as a sequel to 2015's original Splatoon, and released in 2017, it was one of the major titles to release on switch within its first year on the market. A DLC, Splatoon 2: The Octo Expansion was released in 2018. The final Splatfest for Splatoon 2 was held in 2019.
It was followed by the 2022 game Splatoon 3, also for the Nintendo Switch.
