• Here's the reason why TV movies based on Stephen King novels cast actors who are better known for comedy than horror/drama/action. Stephen King doesn't write typical chisel jawed action heros. His characters are just the normal Joe Schmoe from next door who somehow gets wrapped up in a spooky supernatural adventure. Actors of "ordinary" appearance usually go into comedy because they're more relatable than the handsome action hero types.
