Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Many. For example...

  • When they need power for the mega-computer, and the grand-uncle literally drives through and effectively destroys an arch; what was he driving? A truck with his fishing boat on it. Made even better when he drops the boat into the koi pond.
    • And then, as the onlookers are drenched, one koi goes desperately flying out of the pond.
  • "Please tell me you didn't break the internet."
  • After first defeating King Kazuma in Oz, the fight system names Love Machine the winner. At which point, the halo appears behind him and slowly rotates... Think about that. Love Machine had either programmed itself a victory pose OR it was showing off. Either way, it was trolling King Kazuma.
    • Immediately after that, it looked as though Love Machine would have taken King Kazuma's account too, but Kenji runs up and seems to stand in his way. Kenji stares down Love Machine who was not only bigger by then, but had been mopping the floor with him moments earlier... Suddenly, Kenji points somewhere else and gasps in surprise! Love Machine turns to look and then when he looks back, Kenji is running away dragging King Kazuma behind him to escape. Love Machine fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book! In fact, his body language afterwards can seemingly say either "Huh... That happened.", "Eh... Whatever.", OR "Hmmm... Well played."
  • Kenji's reaction to Natsuki coming out of the shower in a towel to chase after her baby cousin.
  • When one of the children asks Wabisuke what he was looking at on his iPhone, he answers "ladies with big boobs". He said this to a little girl. This Troper kids you not. Wabisuke is a Jerkass but he's a funny one.
    • "What was your job in America?" "Ninja."
  • When Kenji is all over the news as the prime suspect for OZ breaking down and Natsuki's cousin is yelling that someone should do something about him, another of Natsuki's relatives reminds him that he's a cop and asks why he doesn't just arrest Kenji, to which the cousin replies: "Oh, yeah."
  • Natsuki's game of Japanese Hanafuda with Love Machine at the end. It's not the game itself that's funny, it's the situation. Think of it from an outside perspective: A family of 20+ members... Facing off with an artificial intelligence that's literally trolling mankind... In a Japanese card game, online. The stakes are INSANELY high, there's even a time limit for how long until a nearly apocalyptic catastrophe occurs, and yet... They had time to... have an elaborate transformation sequence (which is never explained as to why it was necessary other than looking really cool), AND they also had time for Natsuki's over-the-top and super over-dramatic last play of the game. Again, it was very cool, but for someone like me who has no clue how the hell the game of Hanafuda actually works, it just comes off as funny. Especially if you think of it like this: Natsuki was playing the entire game on her phone. Think about that. Her final move was indeed very cool in the virtual world, but all she likely did in the real one was press a button on her phone.
  • Also, during the funeral, the family tries to push Kenji and Natsuki to admitting their feelings for each other. Kenji admits he likes her, and yes Natsuki also admits it. Cousin Shoto gets mad at first for Kenji liking her, and then if he doesn't. But then, Kenji and Natsuki are finally pushed toward kissing each other. Kenji's kiss face is as awkward as can be, so Natsuki kisses him quickly on the cheek to release the tension. Kenji then freaks out with a nose bleed and then collapses. The whole family laughs... Even granny's photograph changed to show she was laughing along with them even from beyond the grave.
