The Brain That Wouldn't Die provides examples of:

  • Moral Event Horizon: For Bill? Let's just go with the entire movie and leave it at that.
  • Special Effects Failure: "Hey, his face ties off in the back!"
  • Title Confusion: The film's closing title card presents the title as "The Head That Wouldn't Die", the original title. They changed the main title (and the poster) because sci-fi films with the word "brain" in the title were all the rage.
  • The Woobie: Kurt, the hapless lab assistant who has been deformed by Cortner's experiments. He loses all sympathy once he inexplicably cops an attitude.
    • Not to mention poor Pan!Jan.
