The Days of Our Years has examples of:
- Anvilicious
- Tear Jerker: Some of the stories are kind of sad.

- All of them were intended as Tear Jerkers, but the Narm kind of gets in the way of that.

- Unfortunate Implications: The short goes rather overboard with presenting disability as the worst thing ever that could happen to a person, especially considering that many real-life disabled people have happy, functional lives and dislike being treated as objects of pity.
- Values Dissonance: Charlie is encouraged to go back to work while his wife is giving birth, par for the course for that time.
