The Greenwich Village Trilogy

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

A series of three related Speculative Fiction novels by three different authors, published over the end of the 1960s and the very beginning of the 1970s.

Set In a World where the hippie counterculture of the 1960s is still a vibrant and living thing in the late 1970s, almost at the tipping point where it stops being "counter" and becomes the culture, the Trilogy explores just how unreal "reality" as perceived by the average person actually is.

The following tropes are common to many or all entries in the The Greenwich Village Trilogy franchise.
For tropes specific to individual installments, visit their respective work pages.
  • Author Avatar/Tuckerization: Each book features an avatar character based on (and named for) the author, as well as appearances by the other two authors.
  • Twenty Minutes Into the Future: The Butterfly Kid is explicitly set in 1976 -- nine years into the future from its publication date -- and the subsequent books are set not too long afterward.
