  • Tear Jerker: Happens again and again, given the tragic nature of much of human history, but special mention must be made of the end of The Sorrows of Odin the Goth, when the researcher who's been studying the origins of one particular Germanic myth discovers that he's been enacting it with his past-born sons and grandsons, and at their last battle he has to betray them to their deaths right to their faces.
