I was the only substantial contributor to the TV Tropes work pages for Thwaite, FHBG, Who Moved My Cheese?, and Who Cut the Cheese?. So I converted them to MediaWiki syntax and pasted them here as new pages. Now I see a note in Deist Zealot's talk page about a similar conversion, which transcludes {{TVT Copypasta}}. In turn, this template accuses failure to attribute the source. I can see how this might become a problem, both for ATT legally and for contributors unsure of how to avoid the appearance of impropriety. So I'd like to see some sort of guidance in this policy page about how to express the attribution for an import of one's own TV Tropes work pages, as well as clarification on whether formatting fixes and the like are copyrightable (I doubt it).

Formatting Fixes are not copyrightable, because they're not creative in any real sense. If an editor working for a book publisher changes a manuscript, the copyright is still assigned to the original author, because the creative contribution is so limited.
But yeah, attribute yourself if you wrote it, and are moving it from another site. Write something like "comment... (copied my work from TV Tropes)" or "(my own edits)" or such. If we can tell it's copy-pasting, then we can point to that and say, "Oh look, we were given permission here." The bar is a little bit higher.
Anyway, looks like I need to add a note to this effect in ATT:Copyrights#Can I just copy over stuff from TV Tropes?.
