I think we all know the stereotypes that come with FanFiction: poor writing, awful characters, rampant demonization of canon characters along with whitewashing the bad guys... a lot of it is pure, unrefined crap. But if you know Sturgeon's Law, you'd know that around 5% is worth reading.

I'm happy to say Thirty Hs is a part of that 5%.

When it comes to being presented as a Harry Potter fic faithful to J.K. Rowling's vision, it probably straight up defiles the source material in a way not even done by freaking My Immortal of all things. However, this is not a bad thing in the slightest, and in fact wins the love of many for that very reason! The only way I can describe the writing is if a particularly eloquent yet batshit insane metal-head took over Mrs. Rowling's job as the author of the Harry Potter series. The opening of the story? We have Harry (who has been re-imagined as this sort of monstrously powerful abomination) and Dobby fighting demonic astronauts with groinsaws. The story only serves to get better and better as we see Harry "Kill the fuck out of Hogwarts" as well as Mercury and Venus by using the guitar Fuckslayer, Dumbledore (Whose name constantly shifts) kick a planet with a leg made of pistols, and are introduced to all sorts of interesting characters like Rape Radbury, the Rape Ape, and who can only be described as Professor Oak's Eldritch Abomination distant cousin. The dialogue and actions make no sense, but are absolutely hilarious and over the top that even now, I can't stop giggling as I read them. And on the extremely rare occasions the author updates, we're treated to pure gold, such as Severus Snape (Or Snapplebottom as he's called here) treating us to how the United States was formed, in the story's over the top nature of course.

Honestly, I can't tell if the author is honest or just fucking around, but no matter what, I hope they keep on keeping on, this story is nice refuge in a sea of garbage, made of course of pure, distilled awesomeness.
