  • Audience Reaction: To some gamers, Uplay has mixed reactions thanks to what Ubisoft did to fix the client.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: A mild example and not in the actual Splinter Cell franchise, some gamers see the naming of the new AI bot Sam and not using Michael Ironside to voice it as such a miss opportunity.
    • Maybe averted since the bot is still in it's beta stage.
  • Never Live It Down: After when Uplay came out it glitching and being a security risk, gamers won't let Ubisoft live it down.
    • Add the bonus of the extra DRM that is added, outside of Uplay and Steam. Gives gamers good reasons to not give Ubisoft a dime.
    • Ubisoft, the company itself, is still seen as The Dreaded, because of Microtransactions and other legit reasons.
  • They Copied It Now It Sucks: To some rabid Steam fans, they hate Uplay, since Ubisoft copy Steam to make their own digital distribution client.
  • Win Back the Crowd: Ubisoft was able to get some gamers back when they add good customer support, using Google Authentication, and other fixes and improvements to Uplay.
