Creator Backlash: When asked about "Cherry Pie" in an interview with VH-1, Jani lamented, "I could shoot myself in the fucking head for writing that song." However, later on he admitted that he'd been caught at a bad time and clarified that he liked the song and was happy so many people enjoyed it, but regretted that it overshadowed a lot of other stuff they did.
Executive Meddling: The record company wanted them to write a "Love In An Elevator" style rock anthem; "Cherry Pie" was the result.
