  • Anvilicious: Every single slave owner and Confederate except Robert E. Lee is portrayed as a Complete Monster and vampire sell-out.
    • Not entirely true. P.G.T. Beauregard is seen in his historical role at the first Battle of Bull Run but there's no indication that this prominent member of the Confederacy is anything other than human. Also, pro-slavery Democratic candidate Stephen Douglas does an abrupt Heel Face Turn once he realizes just what is going on.
  • Moment of Awesome: Quite a few. Abraham Lincoln killing vampires with his axe is one alone.
