Akumetsu/YMMV

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

  • Non Sequitur Scene: The mini, rapping prime minister that shows up every now and then.
  • Crowning Moment of Awesome: Not just one; it comes in chains. Basically, Akumetsu's modi operandi of snatching the targets, setting the stage, proving their guilt, and ultimately, executing them in the most fitting death they deserve. Bonus points for donning different costumes every time.
    • The Akumetsu constantly top themselves every kill, achieving a singularity of awesome in the final volume.
  • Crowning Moment of Funny: When Shou helps his teacher up, pats him off, runs off a little bit, and delivers the mother of all non-sequiter dropkicks. And that's right in the middle of a serious moment, mind you.
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: Despite not having a lot of details due to being in a flashback, the Perfect One's death, telling Sachiko that he'll leave the clones in her hand. Especially considering how he was created to be.
  • Magnificent Bastard: Akumetsu. PERIOD.
  • Moral Event Horizon: The military taking Shou's school hostage, and having a guy put on an Akumetsu mask and shoot a teacher, undoubtedly to be broadcasted over airwaves for propaganda.
    • You might occasionally feel sorry for some of Akumetsu's victims, up until you find out the extent of their crimes: the people in question have swindled LUDICROUS amounts of money and gotten away with it. And as Akumetsu so quaintly put it, one million yen[1] can be the difference between someone living or dying, so if you stole 100 million yen,[2] then you're responsible for the deaths of 100 people.
  • Nightmare Fuel: If you don't find Akumetsu to be awesome, you find him scary.
  • Tear Jerker: You think that after seeing a character die at least 200 times it couldn't get any more emotional? The last 21 Akumetsu would beg to differ.
