Alas Smith and Jones is a British [[Sketch Comed] show starring Mel Smith and [[Griff Rhys Jone], which ran on BBC 1 and BBC 2 from January 1984 to October 1998. Its title was a deliberate play on the American [[Wester] show, [[Alias Smith and Jone].
