- Meaningful Name: A good few:
- Mars is a matoran with incredible fighting prowess and a ton of weapons.
- Odin is a being with control over weather with two ravens and two wolves (the latter being named Thor and Magni) at his disposal. As well, it is hinted that he is an ancient being, and he constantly wears a cloak.
- Phogu's name is derived from Greek 'phagus' for 'eater'.

- Fan Nickname: In The Captain Aki Rua Doomslayer's case, 'Doomie' is an out-of-series nickname first used by roleplayer Tyler Durden. It has now ascended to the status of In-Series Nickname thanks to Raknar.
- He is also often called out of series 'The Mercenary Manchild'.

- Player Der Blitz has found that ever since he used Mars, he has never written his female characters in-game without her influencing their design, interactions, etc.
The New BZPRPG

- Der Blitz plays more female than male characters, yet defines his own gender as firmly masculine.
- Word of God states that the martial art Hau mainly uses is based off Leopard Kung Fu, showing in his second knuckle-fist (also known in Real Life as the Leopard Fist) and the one knuckle-fist (AKA the Phoenix Eye). The other styles he has trained in for auxilary purposes are Tiger and Crane styles of 5-Animal Kung Fu.
- Keinju's martial art is based off said Crane, albeit with a higher variety of kicks which includes the Axe Kick.
- The Captain was inspired by Captain Jack Sparrow, Pan Zagloba, another RPG character found on the wiki famed for his bravado, and another character whom Der Blitz has yet to reveal as a source of inspiration.
- Keinju was influenced by Kakashi Hatake. He is not a true Expy, however.
- Word of God says that Hubert wanted to make Naona into a Tsundere character, but decided not to later on.
- Despite attempting to keep Aronis Ril as a somewhat arrogant jerk, Hubert admits that he seems to have turned the Toa of Fire into an expy of Stronin of the Old BZPRPG.
