These things about Birds of Prey (2020 film) are subjective - not everyone will agree with all of them.

  • Fandom Rivalry: With the Harley Quinn cartoon and Gotham Girls, mostly for the different interpretations of Harley. Some also prefer the treatment of male characters in the former cartoon compared to this movie.
  • Misaimed Marketing: The film had a misleading title - well, main title: the film's full title is Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), and naturally the film mainly focused on her.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks:
    • No Barbara Gordon and the inclusion of Harley generated a heavy amount of backlash from the fans of the comic book team, even if in the movie Harley is not an actual member.
    • Cassandra Cain barely resembles her comic self in anything but being asian, that generated backlash from her fans too.
  • Unfortunate Implications: All of the men are unlikeable, unmemorable or stupid.
  • What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids?: The film was rated R for frequent profanity, drug use, sexual humor and graphic violence. Some believed that the mature content is one of many reasons the film financially underperformed.
  • Visual Effects of Awesome: The animation of the opening is so fluid.
