Birds of Prey, also known by the full title Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), is a 2020 feminist superhero film directed by Cathy Yan and written by Christina Hodson. It featured Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn with Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask and Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain. It received mixed reviews and financially underperformed at the box office. It is the first R-rated film of the DC Extended Universe.

- In Name Only: Cassandra Cain in the comics was a Tyke Bomb trained by her abusive father to be his personal, stealthy assassin, since nobody would suspect a child of being dangerous, before becoming Batgirl. This Cassandra Cain is average teenage criminal with no combat capabilities.
- Loves My Alter Ego: Harley seems completely indifferent to Batman, but talks of Bruce Wayne in a way it hints a crush at him, and named her beloved hyena after him.
- Killed Off for Real: Black Mask.
- Non Indicative Title: Despite the title, the titular Birds of Prey are secondary characters and Harley is not a member of them.
- Race Lift: Black Canary is biracial unlike in the comics.
- The Stinger: At the very end of the credits, Harley tries to tell a dirty secret about Batman before the audio got cut off.
