Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill is an Isekai anime about Mukouda Tsuyoshi -- a man transported to another world with the special skill of online shopping at will. Along the way he uses his powers of summoning otherworldly goods to win over powerful beings as he explores a new world.

It was produced by the studio MAPPA and began releasing in 2023.

Tropes used in Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill (anime) include:
  • Alternate Realm Boon: The summoned heroes each get a special one. Additionally those summoned from other worlds are the only ones to get the "Appraisal" skill.
  • Big Eater: Fenrir consumes a lot of food.
  • Blob Monster: Sui is a slime monster.
  • Cheap Gold Coins: A small gold coin is worth 10,000 Yen. (About $64 in 2024, or a few weeks of in universe living expenses for a family in universe) Not exactly cheap, but not quite what most gold coins are worth either.
  • Checkpoint Charlie: The border checkpoint is heavily guarded, and Mukouda has to convince the guards to let him through with Fel.
  • Easy Logistics: Items purchased on the Online Grocery appear instantaneously.
  • Familiar: A fenrir and a slime serve as familiars.
  • Gold-Silver-Copper Standard: A slight deviation, having Iron, Copper, Silver, two sizes of Gold, and Platinum coins.
  • Hammerspace: Justified in universe, as this is only accessibly with the "Item Box" skill.
  • Impossibly Delicious Food: The adventurer party treats Mukouda's Ginger-Fried Red Boar like this.
  • The Kingdom: The Kingdom of Reijseger is this on the surface, but the protagonist pegs it for a despotic place relatively quickly and slips away.
  • Magitek: The "Online Grocery" skill creates a website locked magic browser window floating in front of the user.
    • The other world has magic portable stoves, but they are expensive. It serves as a plot device to show why other characters don’t question the protagonist’s gas stove.
  • Money Grinding: Mukouda can easily buy salt and pepper for five copper coins using his Online Grocery skill, then resell them for 17 gold coins in the economy of the other world. Despite having an effectively unlimited and low effort money multiplier, he decides not to use it often.
  • Mundane Utility: The ability to buy things online in a generic fantasy world is very handy for everyday tasks.
  • Power-Up Food: Food cooked with otherworldly ingredients gives stat boosts.
  • RPG Mechanics Verse: Goes as far as allowing the protagonist to view a status window with his numerical stats.
  • Run for the Border: The protagonist doesn’t wast much time in quietly leaving the Kingdom of Reijseger, beginning his journey in the first episode.
  • Super-Deformed: The characters are shown this way in the outro short at the end of episode 2.
  • Superpower Lottery: The protagonist viewed the other summoned heroes as having won this at first.
  • Trapped in Another World: The protagonist is stuck in another world after he is summoned to a kingdom.
  • Utility Magic: The "Online Grocery" and "Item Box" skills are both this.
  • Wizard Classic: Ramon the mage has a long grey hair with a short beard and a blue hooded robe.
