Carnival of Fear

Everything About Fiction You Never Wanted to Know.

Carnival of Fear is a novel by J.G. Faherty, published in 2010 through Graveside Press. The Carnival of Fear is a supernatural carnival that appears once a year, on Oct. 30. Each time it appears, it brings mayhem and murder with it. The carnies are all demons, and the barker — a gaunt, skeletal demon known as the Proprietor — seems to see and know all. It is his job to gather souls for the Carnival to feed on, and part of this is accomplished through the various rides and games and exhibits. The Funhouse, the Freakshow, the Haunted Mansion — all of them are really passages to alternate realities where the monsters are real.

In Carnival of Fear, a group of teenagers trapped in the Haunted Mansion must fight for their lives against vampires, werewolves, zombies, aliens, Frankenstein's Monster, and even the devil himself.

The dark activities of the Carnival also continue in several short stories and poems published since 2001.
