Chico and The Man was an NBC Sitcom that ran from 1974 to 1978, starring Freddie Prinze as Chico Rodriguez and Jack Albertson as Ed Brown (the Man). Their chemistry made the show very popular at the time, debuting in the top ten and staying there for the first two seasons. It was the first US TV series set in a Mexican-American neighborhood.
