Kawashima Chiyoko (川島 千代子) is a former seiyū who was born on June 2, 1954 in Tokyo. She actually retired in 2001, her last role being Mrs. Kusakabe aka Maron's mom in Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne.
Mrs. Kawashima's roles used to go first by The Ingenue or the Naive Everygirl type, and later she would play the Cool Big Sis or the Hot Mom.
Notable roles by Chiyoko Kawashima include:
- Patty O'Brien in Candy Candy
- Haruna-sensei, Shingo Tsukino and Setsuna Meiou aka Sailor Pluto in Sailor Moon.
- Sally's mother, the Queen of Astoria, in Sally the Witch (second series)
- Hikaru's mother in Kimagure Orange Road
- Geist and child!Shiryu in Saint Seiya
- Hikaru Makiba in Grendizer
- Kei Yuuki in Captain Harlock
- Amy March in the first Little Women anime series (not the World Masterpiece Theater version; there, Amy was played by Rei Sakuma).
