  • The Danza: Ryo's first partner, Hideyuki Makimura, was voiced by Hideyuki Tanaka in the anime.
  • Name's the Same: Kasumi Asou the Kaitou from this series must not be confused with Kasumi Asou the teacher from Tokimeki Memorial 2 ; although when written in Japanese, City Hunter Kasumi's first name is written in Hiragana instead of the Tokimemo one's, written with Kanji.
  • Write What You Know: The protagonists of Yuka Nogami's award-winning novels are heavily based on Reika and Saeko, and decides to crash at Ryo's when she got the inspiration to write a novel about a sweeper.
